Being dominant has nothing to do with being the apex of your species. It has nothing to do with being the best against everyone else. It doesn’t even mean being a complete and utter asshole in order to be a personally no one else can beat around you.

Dominance has everything to do with being better then yourself from moments past. It has everything to do with being in control at all times. As if you know for a fact that everything is going according to plan, even when there is no plan and everything has gone to shit.

When shit does hit the fan, most tend to panic just a little. They tend to move passed rational thinking and begin looking for quick solutions. It is a road easy to get lost in because this road has forward visibility of about a meter. Sometimes even less then that. The quickest solution is most often not the best.

Remaining dominant in your form regardless of your surroundings allows you to think logically. It allows for a bit of future calculation concluded with a decently thought out educated guess. You seem in control when really you shouldn’t. As if everything has gone exactly as you need it to, and you know what the outcome is going to be.

When working with your craft you will have competition, as with most things. Keeping a dominant demeanour allows you to be seen as you doing exactly what you want to do and there is nothing anyone can say or do about it. They can never go against it no matter how hard they might try. Because you are dominant in where you stand and what you do. You maintain your sense of being without losing to the fear of not being good enough. You pump out the progress as if you alone were made to do it.

Here is a little secret. Pretending will get you just as far as being. Because first comes the illusion of a dominant demeanour. Then comes the acceptance of potential. After that the will to act accordingly. Do this over and over again until it becomes a habitual reality. Apply it to all things.

Being dominant in all things. Maintain your version of your composure and be as you always have been.

And remember everyone, being dominant, doesn’t mean being a dick.
